Romy Eskens
I am an Assistant Professor in the Ethics Institute at Utrecht University.
My research lies at the intersection of normative ethics, social philosophy, and moral psychology. I am currently writing about issues in the ethics of mind, personal relationships, reactive attitudes, moral equality, and degradation. I am currently the PI of the NWO VENI project "The Guilty Mind".
I obtained my PhD from Stockholm University in June 2022. Prior to the PhD, I received a BPhil in Philosophy from the University of Oxford (Balliol College), and a BA in Philosophy and BA in History from Utrecht University.
My partner, Jonas Haeg, is also a philosopher, as are my brother, Floris Eskens, and my uncle, Erno Eskens.
